Springdale Township residents — a new way to pay your taxes now, online!  This is only for current taxes due and only for Springdale Township.  You have a choice of paying either using a credit card or by an inexpensive option of an e-check.  Of course, you may always mail your taxes as you have in the past. For any delinquent taxes, please contact Manistee County.

POVERTY EXEMPTION
If you are the owner and reside on property in the Township and fall below an annually determined income level you may be exempt from Property Tax. An application must be filed annually, between Jan. 1 and the winter Board of Review meetings. File this application with the Township Supervisor or Treasurer.

SUMMER TAXES DEFERMENT
Taxpayers may defer their summer property tax if they meet the following criteria. Payment may be deferred until February 15 (payment must be received on or before February 14 in order to avoid penalties and interest) for principal residence property owned by a taxpayer who:

  •    Has a total gross income of $40,000 or less from the preceding year and
  •    Is totally and permanently disabled, blind, paraplegic, hemiplegic, quadriplegic, or
  •    Is an eligible serviceperson, eligible veteran, or eligible widow or widower, or
  •    Is at least age 62.
